Job DescriptionThe Managing Counsel, ESIS role provides legal counsel to ESIS, Inc.
, a Chubb company, with respect to contract language, regulatory questions, industry trends, and marketing/distribution strategy.
Responsibilities include:
Counsel business leadership on a wide range of insurance and contractual matters.
Effectively collaborate with other disciplines within the North America Legal & Compliance organization, including compliance, regulatory affairs, government affairs, and product line support services, in order to provide informed advice.
Research and draft memoranda on relevant insurance, claims and contractual issuesAssist compliance team in the creation and implementation of compliance policy positions.
Draft and Negotiate Risk Management Service Agreements, new client proposals, performance incentive agreements and consulting agreements.
Work on Special projects as assigned by the North America Legal & Compliance management.
Qualifications7 to 10 years of post-law school legal experience with insurance or claims legal matters, preferably in a law firm or corporation.
Significant property or casualty insurance experience is a plus, including knowledge and expertise on state laws and regulations applicable to claims handling, extensive research skills, experience dealing with insurance department exams and inquiries, & business counseling experience Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills Analytical acumen An ability to offer advice on complex issues to business professionals at every level of the organization Enthusiasm for working in a team-oriented, dynamic environment; ability to work independently with minimal supervision of day-to-day tasks while also appropriately identifying matters requiring escalation to management; and a strong service-oriented disposition including the ability to multi-task.
Education:
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school, licensed to practice law in at least one state.
The pay range for the role is $140,000 to $175,000.
The specific offer will depend on an applicant s skills and other factors.
This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
